Over Thanksgiving break I got to visit my family for a few days, and my mom and I took advantage of us both being in the same place at the same time to go and check out the new Africa Rocks exhibits at the San Diego Zoo. This zoo is one of my absolute favorite places in the world – the animals have such large, beautiful exhibits and they are really well taken care of with plenty of mental stimulation and treats! Anyway, I actually remembered to bring my nice camera and lenses, so I got some pretty great shots!
My mom has been really supportive and encouraging of my hobbyist photography, so I figure it might be fun to share some of my animal photos with you. These are the photos I enjoyed the most, even if the composition of some was not the greatest (dang little kids blocking my up-front access to the exhibits ;).
Giraffes
Flamingos (if there are multiple species of flamingos, I have no idea which these are, sorry):
Koalas
A Bornean Sun Bear (and his pineapple)
Lioness - LOOK AT THAT TONGUE!!
Sloth (on the move surprisingly..)
Orangutans
Thanks for reading!
